Looking for more PC-BSD/FreeBSD Resources

More cleanup in the Handbook today… Some of it was in the Additional Resources section where I cleaned out the dead links and added the ones I could think of off the top of my head. I’m sure I missed many good resources (editing for 8 hours tends to empty out the top of one’s head…)

You can help us make a comprehensive list of resources. We’re looking for blogs, forums, news sites, tutorials, planets, etc. that deal primarily with FreeBSD and/or PC-BSD. Please leave a comment with the URLs you would like to see included in this list. We’re also looking for non-English resources for those users who would like access to resources in their native language.

Maybe I over-looked it, however the Wiki mentions the PC-BSD forum, but I don’t see an actual link to

Additionally, though it’s not exclusive to the BSDs, often covers FreeBSD/PC-BSD reviews and news items. It might be worth a mention in the “portals and blogs” cateogry.

      Doh! Link added.

distrowatch is a good idea–I’ve found out about BSD stuff there that I hadn’t heard about elsewhere yet. It’s been added to portals (which is now separated from blogs).

The name of address to Polish “PC-BSD Forum” in “PC-BSD_Forums” chapter
is written wrongly – “BSD PC-Poland” – should be “PC-BSD Poland”.

Wish I could erase it. I’ve yet to find any combination of lines by themselves, number of spaces, tabs, or anything else that convinces WordPress to not append the FQDNs of the URLs in a comment to the beginning of the post.
