Latest Opera PBI Fixes Java Bug
The latest version of Opera has fixed a long-standing bug where the installed Java plugin was not properly detected. You can upgrade your current version of Opera or install the latest version of Opera (version 11.10) using Software Manager. If OpenJDK is not yet installed, also install it from Software Manager.
To activate the Java plugin, launch Opera and go to Menu -> Settings -> Preferences -> Content -> Plug-in Options -> Change Path -> Add. Browse to your home directory then type in .mozilla. Save your changes and verify they worked by going to a site such as Youtube.

schubart.netI don’t think YouTube uses Java.(?) There is a small Java applet on this page: http://www.schubart.net/rc/
It’s pretty quick to load and makes for an easy test.
