Hi Dru,

just retried with RC2 and problem is still there (even though it now asks for the disk encryption password first as PCBSD is already installed with encryption now on the HDD).

If you think it makes sense to investigate this any further, please let me know, I am happy to try providing additional information.

Like the new v9, will switch all the computers from plain FreeBSD to PC BSD in the future, so much added value in it...

When I installed the 32bit version on my Dell Latitude D630, it worked fine with the boot only CD image, but when I first tried to install from the USB 32bit image, it booted but then complained that it could not mount the install image.

If you want to investigate and need any additional details, feel free to drop me an email.

PS I could imagine a more polished name and logo/brand could help spreading the word in the long run... Just a thought...

Dru, thank you for your fast response,

as Gerdos mentioned, not all software is available in the AppCafe. Please be careful with the strategy to make all available with the launch of the final PCBSD 9.0 .
My experience told me, a lot could go wrong. To be sure all is working so far all PCBSD fans will test it before, as I did. Exact this is the reason to have a Beta 3/RC1
to find out the problems. To have basic problems in the final 9.0 will give a negative impact to all who are interested in an alternative OS. I like the PCNBSD team to avoid this!

After the main bugs will be eliminated the PCBSD is ready for polishing and small bugs could be killed with updates. That is only my opinion, for sure you know the best way. Keep on testing until all looks fine...

Have fun!
