Several members of the PC-BSD team will be attending Ohio LinuxFest, to be held in Columbus, OH from September 13-15. Registration is required to attend Ohio LinuxFest, but registration is free.

We’re excited that Kirk McKusick will be delivering the closing keynote on Saturday, September 14. The topic of the keynote will be Building and Running and Open-Source Community: The FreeBSD Project.

Ken Moore will present “PC-BSD: Ports, Packages, and PBIs” at 11:00 on Saturday and Dru Lavigne will present “ZFS 101” at 15:00 on Saturday.

There will also be a FreeBSD booth in the expo area on Saturday, September 14 where we’ll be giving out cool swag as well as PC-BSD DVDs and FreeNAS CDs. Donations to the Foundation will be accepted at the booth. If you’re at the conference, drop by and say hi!

The BSDA certification exam will be held at 11:00 on Sunday, September 14. The cost of the exam is $75 and you can register for the exam here.
